If you need WinZip for some specialist features, but want to use the inbuilt facilities in most case, just (for w8):- go to Control Panel- choose Programs- choose 'Make file types always open in a specific program'- scroll down for ".zip"- select 'change program' in the top right- choose 'windows explorer'
Winzip For Windows Vista
Windows 10: remove all winzip or any other zip programs through control panel, programs, etc.right-click on start button, settings, apps, default apps, choose default apps by file type, scroll down to .zip file type, click on it then click on "windows" as thw default app for opening .zip files
I'm trying to create a Software item to filter for PCs that actually have Winzip. So far so good as I am checking for programfiles\winzip\winzip32.exe but is there something I can check to see if the installed copy is the registered or eval version?
I will add X99 after I see someone testing it with Vista with no problems. The issue is also existent with Z97, not just H97: -discussion/304098-logon-process-initialization-failure-vista-ultimate-x64.html

Have you forgotten your windows login password? This is the common problem which may arrive to every user at some point of time. The simplest way to reset a forgotten password is by using a previously created password reset disk. You can create such disk on a USB removable media or floppy within the Windows User Accounts Menu, for which go to Windows Control Panel > User Accounts > Create a password reset disk which you will find in the left pane. You can do this to your new PC as once you have the disk, insert it when starting the PC in turn it will cause Windows to display the Reset Password option at the login screen, in this way you will regain an access to your system. 2ff7e9595c
